Every puppy is born into a clean, safe, and loving environment where both mother and babies are carefully monitored around the clock. We never breed for volume, only for health, temperament, and the preservation of this magnificent breed. Our parent dogs have been carefully chosen not only for their looks, but more importantly for their personalities and health background. They are all thoroughly screened for breed-specific health issues, including hips, elbows, cardiac health, and genetic conditions common in Bernese Mountain Dogs. This ensures we are stacking the odds in your puppy’s favor from the very beginning.

Before any puppy goes to their forever home, they receive a comprehensive veterinary exam by a licensed veterinarian. This checkup includes a full physical, age-appropriate vaccinations, and deworming. We provide all families with a detailed health record, which outlines every vaccination and medical care your puppy has received. We also start early socialization and basic crate and potty training to make the transition to your home as smooth as possible. Because we genuinely care about the long-term health of our puppies, we are happy to offer a written health guarantee that reflects our standards and commitment to quality.

Our health guarantee offers protection against any life-threatening congenital or hereditary condition for the first year of your puppy’s life. If your veterinarian identifies a serious health issue that is clearly genetic and compromises the puppy’s quality of life within this time, we will work with you to make things right. In some cases, this could mean a replacement puppy from a future litter, or a partial refund depending on the situation. We never want our families to feel alone, and we are here to support you through any challenges you might encounter. We do ask that all families take their puppy for a wellness exam by a licensed veterinarian within 72 hours of receiving them. This confirms that your puppy arrived in good health and creates a baseline for future care. If any issues are discovered during this initial visit, we ask to be contacted immediately so that we can assist in addressing it.

We also want to be clear about what the health guarantee does not cover—because transparency is important to us. Common ailments such as worms, parasites, giardia, or coccidia, although unpleasant, are treatable and occasionally occur in puppies due to the natural environments they explore. These are not life-threatening or unusual in young dogs and do not fall under the health guarantee. We do, however, work diligently to minimize exposure and treat proactively when necessary. Our goal is always prevention, but we’re realistic and honest about the nature of raising animals.

Now, when it comes to getting your puppy home, we want the experience to be as easy, safe, and joyful as possible. We understand that not all of our families are close enough to pick up their puppy in person—although we love when people visit us. That’s why we offer both in-person pickup and professional delivery options to suit your needs. For those who live within driving distance, we welcome you to come meet us and your puppy in person. You'll get to see where your puppy was raised, meet the parents (when available), and receive your puppy’s full health folder, starter items, and plenty of pictures and guidance to take home.

If travel isn’t feasible for you, don’t worry—we’ve worked hard to make long-distance adoption smooth and safe. We offer delivery through professional pet flight nannies who specialize in hand-delivering puppies to their new families. Your puppy will never be shipped in cargo or left alone. Instead, they will travel in-cabin with a trusted handler who keeps them calm, secure, and cared for throughout the journey. Once the flight is booked, we provide you with all the flight details, estimated arrival times, and even live updates while your puppy is in transit. Upon arrival, the nanny personally hands your puppy to you, ensuring a smooth and loving transfer.

In some cases, we can also arrange for ground transport with a licensed pet transporter for families located within a reasonable driving radius. All of our transport options are selected based on experience, reliability, and a proven record of caring for animals during travel. We never compromise on safety or comfort, and we take every detail seriously—from travel crate preparation to food and water supply, and even comfort items that smell like home to ease your puppy’s stress.

Before your puppy leaves, we also send you a detailed guide that includes tips for the first 48 hours, feeding schedules, adjustment tips, and vet recommendations. We want you to feel prepared and supported, not overwhelmed. Bringing home a Bernese Mountain Baby is a special moment, and we do everything in our power to make it smooth, memorable, and filled with excitement.

Whether you’re coming to us from down the road or across the country, we’re here to help. We’ve placed puppies in wonderful homes all over the United States and internationally, and we take pride in creating positive, safe experiences every single time. We are always available to answer questions before, during, and after the delivery process, and we encourage families to stay in touch. Send us pictures, ask questions, or just give us an update—we love hearing about our puppies as they grow and become part of your story.

At the heart of everything we do is our commitment to raising puppies the right way—with honesty, heart, and a lifetime of support. When you choose Bernese Mountain Babies, you’re not just getting a puppy—you’re gaining a relationship with people who truly care.
